Mexico City, March 10, 2026. — The 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open on the PGA Tour will mark a new chapter in the evolution of golf in Mexico and in the country's international presence on the PGA Tour calendar.
From October 29 to November 1, 2026, the world's top players will once again gather at VidantaWorld Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit for a tournament that has established itself in recent years as one of Mexico's most important sporting events.
But the VidantaWorld Mexico Open is more than a competition. It is a full week in which world-class golf meets luxury hospitality, international entertainment, and one of Mexico's most iconic cultural celebrations, all in one destination.

An Unprecedented Model in Professional Golf
The 2026 edition will also mark a historic milestone for the tournament. For the first time in professional golf, Grupo Vidanta will serve simultaneously as title sponsor, host venue, and operator of the tournament, uniting every aspect of the event experience under one vision.
This model, uncommon in sports, makes it possible to design a fully integrated tournament week, from the competition itself to the hospitality and experiences that surround the event.
Championship Golf at VidantaWorld Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit
The tournament will be played at VidantaWorld Vallarta, a course that has proven to be an ideal stage for professional golf, with a design that demands precision, strategy, and excellence at the highest level.
Set between the Pacific Ocean, the tropical jungle, and the region's mountains, the course also offers one of the most spectacular natural settings on the PGA Tour.
"The VidantaWorld Mexico Open is golf at its highest competitive level. The VidantaWorld Vallarta course is designed to challenge the world's best players, and this year it will feature an optimized setup that strengthens the tournament's competitive dynamics while delivering an exceptional experience for the fans who visit us," said Ángel Gómez, Executive Director of the VidantaWorld Mexico Open.
More Than a Tournament
The 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open will feature experiences that transform tournament week into a full celebration of sport, culture, and entertainment.
During these days, VidantaWorld Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit will welcome visitors and fans with a program of activities including dining experiences, live performances, and international entertainment.

“We want guests at VidantaWorld during the tournament to enjoy far more than a sporting event. Our goal is to create a complete experience where golf is paired with entertainment, dining, and luxury hospitality, while also generating positive economic impact for the region and positioning us as a premier international destination,” said Jose Alonso, Head of Hotel Operations Projects at Grupo Vidanta.
Highlights of the week include:
- A special international concert as part of the VidantaWorld Concert Series
- Cirque du Soleil LUDŌ, an immersive aquatic experience combining acrobatics, dining, and visual storytelling
- The Day of the Dead celebration, one of Mexico’s most emblematic cultural traditions
